MIS and KPI packs

Structured management reports summarizing financial health, ratios, and working capital — written for a five-minute leadership read, not a forensic audit.

01 · Business problem

Where this started.

A mid-size services firm had a finance team producing accurate numbers, but the monthly report was 20 pages of tables with no narrative, so leadership skimmed it and rarely acted on it.

02 · Approach

How we worked through it.

  • Redesigned the report around a one-page summary: three headline numbers, three risks, three actions.
  • Moved supporting detail to an appendix so the front page stayed decision-focused.
  • Added short trend commentary next to each ratio instead of a bare number.
  • Standardised the format so month-over-month comparison took seconds, not a fresh read-through.
