MIS and KPI packs
Structured management reports summarizing financial health, ratios, and working capital — written for a five-minute leadership read, not a forensic audit.
Where this started.
A mid-size services firm had a finance team producing accurate numbers, but the monthly report was 20 pages of tables with no narrative, so leadership skimmed it and rarely acted on it.
How we worked through it.
- Redesigned the report around a one-page summary: three headline numbers, three risks, three actions.
- Moved supporting detail to an appendix so the front page stayed decision-focused.
- Added short trend commentary next to each ratio instead of a bare number.
- Standardised the format so month-over-month comparison took seconds, not a fresh read-through.
